Alexandra-Maria-Lara
Alexandra Maria Lara is a Romanian-German film and television actress popular for her work in movies such as Downfall Youth Without Youth Control and Rush. Being the sole daughter of Romanian actress Valentin Platareanu, Alexandra began her professional career in showbiz early. She was a lead actress in television dramas as early as the age of 16. The critically acclaimed character she played in the television film Der Tunnel, Alexandra went onto play several other acclaimed parts, including Adolf Hitler's secretary Traudljunge for the film Downfall. Downfall won an Oscar and won critical acclaim. The Reader and Der Baader Meinhof Komplex are the other Oscar nominated features featuring the divas. Alexandra has been involved in numerous notable projects in both the US and abroad. For instance, the British biographical film Control, the Greek drama The Dust of Time, as well as the French historic mini-series Napoleon are among those. The actress was also a member of the jury at the Transylvania International Film Festival, and at Cannes Film Festival.
