Alexandra Maria Lara was born in Romania and is now an actress from Germany and Romania. Her most famous films are Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. The only child of Romanian actress Valentin Platareu, Alexandra started her professional career in the show business at an early age. At the age of 16, she was 16years old, Alexandra was able to land prominent roles in a variety of TV dramas. After her critically acclaimed role in the TV film Der Tunnel, Alexandra went onto play more notable characters like Adolf Hitler's secretary Traudljunge on Downfall. Downfall was nominated for an Oscar and won critical and commercial popularity. The Reader is another Oscar nominated film featuring this divas. Alexandra is associated with numerous important projects both locally as well as internationally. They include the British biographical film Control Greek drama film The Dust of Time and the French historical miniseries Napoleon as well as other miniseries. Her other roles include being juror at two festivals: The Transylvania International Film Festival and Cannes Film Festival.
